Mohammed was represented by Mr Segun Afolayan, NEMA Head of Operations for Ekiti, Ondo and Osun. He said the relief materials were donated by the Federal Government to cushion the effect of the fire outbreak on the affected victims. The director general said that NEMA would continue to partner the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) on disaster management. He said: “I charge the state and the local government to be more proactive through early warning system mechanisms. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that items donated included cement, planks, nails, roofing sheets and ceiling boards, among others.
